The Patchwork Kitchen Garden: The Sixth Week
"In the Spring, I have counted 136 different kinds of weather inside of 24 hours." - Mark Twain
The Patchwork Kitchen Garden: The Fifth Week
It has definitely been an interesting week. In the beginning, I had big plans. I was going to get my seedlings that I started in the winter into the ground, but Mother Nature had other plans.
The Patchwork Kitchen Garden: The Fourth Week
Let there be light! Ok, a little dramatic but the cloudy and rainy days seem to be behind us this week. Everyday has been positively beautiful with the sheer abundance of sunshine and with the sun comes some wonderful growth as well as some new beginnings.
The Patchwork Kitchen Garden: The Second Week
This week has been really chilly in the garden. Temperatures haven't exceeded the high 50s, and it's been raining off and on for nearly a week. This is very typical for April in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The Patchwork Kitchen Garden
In the coming months, I'll be sharing my gardening journey and how it helps fuel my Patchwork Kitchen. During the summer and fall seasons, I participate in a CSA share from Fuller's Overlook Farm and frequent various farmers' markets. It's very important to me that the produce my family cooks with is of the highest quality. It doesn't make sense to buy produce that's not at its best. We put a lot of thought and love into all of our recipes, which is why I wanted to share my gardening journey with you. I want to show what goes into our kitchen, inside and out
